Notes for Abstraction: |
- The abstractor assigns the event identification (ID) number for each platelet event being evaluated.
- Each allowable value is only used one time and is determined by the order in which it was administered.
- Select the Platelet Event ID associated with the Transfusion Order for each platelet transfusion event.
- Abstract up to three platelet transfusion events per patient.
- Include platelet transfusions administered in the emergency room or observation unit.
