Notes for Abstraction: |
- The abstractor assigns the event identification (ID) number for each RBC event being evaluated. Each allowable value is only used one time and is determined by the order in which it was administered.
- Select the RBC Event ID associated with the Transfusion Order for each RBC transfusion event.
- Abstract up to three RBC transfusion events per patient.
- Include RBC transfusions administered in the emergency room or observation.
