Enter the patient’s closest hemoglobin result reported in g/dL performed prior to the RBC transfusion event.

UTD = Unable to Determine

Notes for Abstraction:
  • For abstraction, select either the pre-transfusion hematocrit or the hemoglobin result; both are not required.
  • Select the hemoglobin result that is associated with the RBC Event ID selected for abstraction.
  • If the hemoglobin result is 9.9 g/dL, enter 9.9.
  • The result must be completed within 24 hours prior to the start of the RBC transfusion event selected for abstraction.
