Question: Earliest Aneurysm Repair or Surgical Interv Procedure Time

This question has follow-up question(s): Follow-up to UserQuestion102705

On my hemorrhagic patients, quite often an EVD is placed with the doctor using only IV sedation with fentanyl and versed. The only two documents I have are the operative report, which lists the date of the procedure, but no procedure start time, and also the handwritten operative note the doctor writes. At the top of the operative note, the doctor has listed to the side the date (3/29/15 and a time of 1045. Can I use the time of 1045 as the time for the earliest aneurysm repair or surgical intervention procedure time? )

Answer:

If the time of EVD is the earliest documented procedure time, then it should be selected. Thank you for your inquiry.
