Question: First Pass of a Mechanical Reperfusion Device / First Pass Time

In our procedure reports for a MER there is documented both a run time and a pass time. The run time is the earliest and usually just a couple of minutes past the start time. The pass time is a few minutes later which by inference would be the correct time. However since the run time is earlier do we take that or can we take the pass time which is probably the correct one.

In July, additional inclusion terms were added to the data element definition based on feedback received from CSC users. If both times are documented (i.e. run time and pass time), select the earliest time per abstraction guidelines for "First Pass Time".

The definition was originally written for first pass (deployment), which may be the more accurate time. The new terms added were thought to be synonymous or close to "pass" and "deployment", since first pass (deployment) time was no consistently documented. If any of the new terms are questionable, please provide feedback and we will consider removing it/them with the next update.
