The Joint Commission does not endorse the use of any particular instrument/tool, nor does it imply that the tools listed on this portal are superior to tools not found on this portal. Organizations should use their discretion in choosing any product based on their needs and the needs of the population(s) they serve. If there is a measurement based tool/instrument/system that you would like to see on the list, which is not currently on the list, please contact the instrument/system developer/owner/vendor and ask them to visit this page and post a description of the instrument.

If you are interested in submitting a behavioral health care tool or instrument – so that it will appear on the list above - please login/register and complete the submission form. Tools/instruments submitted for listing should be established (i.e., tested and validated) as appropriate for use as a routine outcome measure. Once you begin to complete the submission form, you may save your draft work and return to this site to complete it.

Once an entry is submitted it will no longer be available to edit. When submitting the form, you will be asked to attest to your authority to submit the requested information on behalf of the instrument or instrument developers and that all of the information included is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate at the time of submission. Submitting an entry is voluntary and by doing so, you grant a revocable, royalty free worldwide license to The Joint Commission for the purpose of informing its customers about instruments that may be suitable for use toward complying with a Joint Commission accreditation standard. The Joint Commission reserves the right to reject any submission or remove any submission from the list for any reason without permission from or explanation to the submitter.
